Do you have a daily street machine, or are you a weekend warrior? This is the turbo for you.

Featuring our newest compressor wheel designed by us, as well as our 87x82 turbine wheel. This turbine wheel is the result of extensive research over the past few years to help alleviate some of the backpressure associated with maxing out the standard BW 87x82 design.

What does that mean? It gets your rotor assembly up to speed faster, while not running out of breath as early as previous models. You can expect to see gains of 115-235hp under 5000rpm and high peak numbers over some of our competitors we have dyno tested back to back.

The smaller 87x82 turbine and 1.10 A/R make this the earliest-spooling 80mm in the range — a strong pick for street-driven V8 swaps, import six-cylinder builds, and towing-adjacent diesel trucks where response matters more than peak flow.

Key Specs

  • 80mm compressor wheel, journal bearing
  • 87x82 turbine wheel
  • T4 flange, 1.10 A/R
  • Built to order

Replaces / Cross-Reference

The TNT480 is a direct bolt-on replacement for S480 turbochargers and other 80mm S400-frame units. Built on the same 400 frame, it uses the mounting hardware you already have:

  • Turbine inlet: T4 — fits your existing T4 manifold
  • Turbine discharge: 4.62" (117mm) half marmon — same flange and clamp
  • Compressor discharge: V-band, sized to your charge pipe
  • Oil drain: 50.8mm (2.00") bolt centre, 12AN port — same drain

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the TNT480 a direct replacement for an S480?

Yes. The TNT480 is built on the 400 frame, so it is a direct bolt-on replacement for S480 turbochargers. Your T4 manifold, half marmon downpipe flange, clamp, compressor discharge and 12AN oil drain all carry over.

How does the 87/82 compare to the 96/88 version?

The 87x82 turbine with a 1.10 A/R spools earlier and suits builds where response matters most. The 96x88 with a 1.25 A/R flows better at the top and suits higher-RPM, higher-power applications.

What does the 87x82 turbine wheel improve?

It's designed to alleviate backpressure associated with maxing out the standard BW 87x82 design, getting the rotor assembly up to speed faster with gains of 115-235hp under 5000rpm versus comparable competitor turbines.

Is this turbo built to order?

Yes. Every TNT480 is built to order.
