The TNT5R JB 88mm is the entry point to the journal bearing side of the TNT5R line — the same compressor covers, compressor wheels, and turbine design as the ball-bearing series, on a cast steel center section that brings the platform in at a lower price without touching its aero.

As a supercore the unit weighs just 25lbs, and stays under 65lbs with the largest T6 turbine housing attached. The oil system is non-negotiable: -6 feed, -12 drain, no restrictor — running one causes premature shaft and thrust wear leading to failure.
