The FKF 60"-80" Traction Bars are a fully bolt-on ladder bar kit for 2011-2019 Chevrolet and GMC 2500HD / 3500HD trucks with a 4" axle diameter. They use 2" .250" wall DOM steel tubing, 1/4" HRPO steel mounts and 1.25" heim joints rated to 76,000 lb — some of the highest strength components on the market.

Through-frame cradle mounts

Important: these front traction bar mounts use a cradle style mount with 3 "through frame" bolts that pass through the thickest part of your boxed frame. This removes the need to drill large access holes in the backside of your frame to start a nut inside the frame rail, creating a much stronger mount and an easier installation.

The trade-off: these mounts need to land in a specific location on your frame for access to the bolts on the backside. They land on the thickest portion of the frame while still allowing access in front of the fuel tank to install the rear-most nut on the driver side.

How to measure for your traction bar length

Locate the widened section on your driver side frame rail. Measure 7.5" from this widened section and make a mark. Measure from this mark to the centre of your axle — that gives you the correct traction bar length. Photos are attached to help with this process.

Close to stock height short box crew cabs will use 67.5" bars.

If you would prefer longer bars that mount forward of the widened section (75"+), let us know and we will send shims for the front mounts.
