S369 Turbo: Specs, Horsepower & Fitment Guide

The S369 sits in the middle of the 300 frame — a 69mm (2.72") compressor with more top-end than the popular 66mm, without stepping into the response penalty that comes with the frame's larger sizes. It is also the first size in the lineup offered with all three turbine wheels, which makes it one of the most configurable turbos on the frame.

The centre housing carries a boss cast and pre-tapped for a rotor speed sensor, plus a standard 1/8" NPT pressure port.

The 1,120 HP figure is a compressor ceiling — what the wheel will support at the edge of its map — not a build target. Past roughly 820 HP we would generally move you to a 400-frame turbo.


Where the S369 Fits

Street and Strip

The 69mm is one of the two sizes that cover the widest range of builds — enough airflow to be a real step beyond a 66mm while keeping the low-RPM response that makes the 300 frame worth choosing in the first place.

The Step Past the 66mm

If a 66mm build is already fuelled beyond what the compressor can use, the 69mm is the natural next size. It asks for more fuel and slightly more patience off idle, and pays it back at the top of the tach.

Compound High-Pressure Charger

The S369 is commonly run as the high-pressure turbo under a larger atmospheric charger. In that position it breathes already-compressed air, so it moves considerably more mass than it would as a single — size it for the manifold pressure it will actually see, not for the power target of the whole system.


Turbine Wheel Choice

The S369 is the first size in the frame offered with all three turbine wheels, and on the 300 frame the wheel matters far more than A/R.

  • 76x68 — buys response at the cost of a top-end ceiling. The towing and daily-driving pick.
  • 80x73 — the balanced default, and the most common pairing on this compressor.
  • 82x75 — lets the exhaust side keep up at higher RPM. The strip-biased pick.

Fitment: What You Need to Order

  • T4 manifold — open or divided to match the turbine housing you choose
  • 4.25" marmon turbine discharge flange and clampavailable in 3", 3.5" and 4". At this size a 3.5" downpipe is the sensible floor.
  • Compressor discharge v-band sized to your charge pipe
  • Oil drain flange at 50mm (1.97") bolt centre. 10AN covers most street builds; 12AN buys margin on hard-worked and compound applications.

S369 vs the Sizes Either Side

Against the S366: the two are close enough that how you drive matters more than the numbers. The 366 if the truck is street driven, tows, or the fuel system is moderate; the 369 if you want more top-end and have the fuelling to use it.

Against the S372: the 72mm moves serious air for the frame and expects the rest of the truck to be ready for it. If the fuel system is built and the truck sees the strip regularly, step up; otherwise the 369 keeps more of the response the frame is bought for.

Is there a direct replacement for an S368 or S369?

Yes. The TNT369 is a direct bolt-on replacement for a T4 S368 or S369 — the T4 bolt pattern, 4.25" marmon turbine discharge and 50mm (1.97") mid-frame oil drain bolt centre all carry over. A T3 turbo requires a new T4 manifold.

What turbine wheel should I run on an S369?

The 80x73 is the balanced default. Choose the 76x68 for towing and daily driving, or the 82x75 if the truck sees higher RPM use and you want the exhaust side to keep up.

Can an S369 be used as a compound high-pressure turbo?

Yes, and it is a common choice. In the high-pressure position it breathes air already compressed by the atmospheric charger, so it flows considerably more mass than it would as a standalone turbo.

What oil drain does an S369 need?
